This Privacy Policy explains how ProServices Partners (also called “ProServices,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you use our website and marketplace for home, property, construction, renovation and maintenance services. It covers customers, service professionals and visitors, including those in the United States and Jamaica.
For questions about this policy or a privacy request, contact proservicespartners1@gmail.com.
1. Information we collect
- Account and contact information: name, email address, telephone number, account role, profile details and authentication information. If you choose Google sign-in, we receive the account information needed to authenticate you, such as your name, email and account identifier; we do not receive your Google password.
- Customer projects and marketplace activity: service category, job address and city, project descriptions, photographs or other attachments you provide, budget, preferred dates and times, quotes, accepted terms, job progress, completion confirmations, messages, reviews, disputes and support requests.
- Professional business information: business and contact names, telephone number, description, services, service areas, experience, pricing, availability, website and social links, profile images, portfolio content and review responses.
- Professional application documents: business type and address, registration information, license and insurance details, identity-document details and uploaded identification, license, insurance or supporting documents you choose or are required to submit for application review. These documents may contain sensitive personal information. Only submit documents necessary for your application.
- Payment and payout information: quote amounts, deposits, balances, transaction identifiers, payment and refund status, platform fees, payout status and connected payment-account identifiers. Stripe collects payment-card, bank, identity, tax and other onboarding information directly where required. Our application does not store your full payment-card number, card security code or bank-account credentials.
- Technical information: IP address, browser and device information, request and error logs, authentication/session activity and security-related usage information generated when our website and hosting services operate.
We receive information directly from you, from customers and professionals interacting on the marketplace, from authentication providers you select, and from Stripe about transactions and payout-account status. Information required for an account, project, application or transaction is necessary to provide that feature; other information may be optional.
2. How we use information
- Create and secure accounts and provide customer, professional and administrator access.
- Publish professional profiles, match service requests by category and service area, and enable quotes, messaging, job management and reviews.
- Review professional applications and documents, administer account eligibility and investigate disputes, fraud, abuse or safety concerns.
- Facilitate payments, deposits, balances, refunds, fees, payouts and documented payout adjustments through Stripe.
- Send account confirmations, password resets, project and transaction notices, application updates and replies to support requests.
- Maintain and improve reliability, troubleshoot problems, enforce marketplace rules, keep necessary records and meet legal obligations.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information to provide services you request or take steps toward an agreement, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate operational and security interests subject to your rights, or rely on consent where required. We do not treat this policy as consent to every use of personal information.
3. When we share information
- Marketplace participants: relevant customer project and contact information is shared with matched or engaged professionals so they can assess and perform the work. Customers receive relevant professional business, quote and job information. Messages are available to their participants and authorized administrators as needed for support, safety or disputes.
- Public profiles and reviews: professional business profiles, service information, portfolio content and published reviews or responses may be publicly accessible. Do not include identity documents, financial details, home addresses or other unnecessary sensitive information in public content. Verification documents are not part of the public profile.
- Stripe: we share transaction and account information needed for checkout, connected-account onboarding, fraud prevention, refunds and payouts. Stripe handles information under its own Privacy Policy. Stripe may have independent legal and recordkeeping obligations. Payments are processed live by Stripe.
- Operational providers: hosting, cloud storage, authentication, email delivery and technical support providers process information as needed to operate the service. This includes the Lovable Cloud services used by the website and Google when you choose Google sign-in.
- Legal and safety purposes: we may disclose information when required by applicable law or valid legal process, or as reasonably necessary to protect rights, investigate misuse or address security and safety concerns.
- Business changes: information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition or transfer of the service, subject to appropriate protections and any notice required by law.
We do not sell personal information for money or use marketplace information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Professionals are independent service providers; their use of information outside the marketplace may be governed by their own privacy practices. External websites linked from profiles also have their own policies.
4. Cookies and similar storage
We and our operational providers use cookies, browser storage and similar technologies for sign-in, session continuity, security and essential website operation. Stripe and Google may use their own technologies when you use their services. You can manage cookies and stored website data through your browser, but blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in or other features from working.
This policy does not authorize new advertising or optional tracking. If we introduce optional tracking that requires consent or an opt-out, we will provide the appropriate notice and controls. The website does not currently implement a separate response to browser “Do Not Track” signals. Where a legally recognized opt-out preference signal applies to our processing, we will honor it as required by law.
5. Protection and retention
We use safeguards including encrypted HTTPS connections, authenticated access, role-based permissions and restricted document storage. Verification documents are limited to the submitting professional and authorized administrators. Access to private project, message and payment records is restricted according to account permissions. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure; protect your password and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service and for legitimate purposes such as transaction records, dispute resolution, fraud prevention and legal compliance. Retention depends on the information and applicable obligations; we do not promise a single deletion period for all records. After an account-deletion request, some records may need to be retained, and copies may remain in backups until those backups expire. Information retained for these reasons remains subject to appropriate protections.
6. Your choices and privacy requests
You can update available profile details in your account. To request access to, a copy of, correction of or deletion of your personal information or account, email proservicespartners1@gmail.com with the subject “Privacy request.” Describe your request and the email associated with your account. Do not send passwords, payment-card details or identity documents in your initial email.
We may reasonably verify your identity and, if someone acts for you, their authority before disclosing or changing information. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. Deletion or other requests may be limited by legal recordkeeping duties, outstanding transactions, disputes, security needs or the rights of others; we will explain applicable limitations. We cannot delete records independently held by Stripe or a professional, but can explain where to direct those requests.
Depending on your location and which laws apply, you may also have rights to data portability, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent without affecting prior lawful processing, opt out of a covered sale, sharing or targeted advertising activity, appeal a denied request, and complain to a supervisory authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights. Necessary account, security and transaction notices may still be sent even if you decline optional communications.
7. United States and Jamaica
United States privacy rights vary by state and by whether a law applies to the service. We will assess requests under the laws applicable to you; this policy does not claim that every state privacy law applies to ProServices Partners.
For individuals in Jamaica, where the Jamaica Data Protection Act applies, rights may include access, rectification, objection to certain processing and other rights provided by that Act. Contact us first for assistance; you may also raise a complaint with Jamaica’s Office of the Information Commissioner.
Our marketplace and operational providers may process information in the United States and other countries, including outside Jamaica or your home jurisdiction. Privacy protections can differ between countries. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we will use the required safeguards and provide further information on request. We do not claim that all data is stored in one country.
8. Children’s privacy
The marketplace is intended for adults aged 18 or older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. We will provide additional notice of material changes when required by law.
